Violent crimes demand a comprehensive defense strategy

by | Jun 17, 2016 | Violent Crimes

Last week, we discussed some of the laws that pertain to first-degree murder charges in Pennsylvania. Murder isn’t the only violent crime charge that a person might face here. Manslaughter, assault, battery, rape and similar charges are also possible. In each of these cases, a comprehensive defense strategy is imperative if you aren’t going to roll over and just accept that you will be convicted and sentenced.

We know that facing violent crime charges is disheartening. The possible sentences that you face can be downright scary. Murder, for example, might mean you spend the rest of your life in prison. Other charges can lead to time in prison, fines and other penalties. You don’t have to just accept that you will be convicted and the court will throw the proverbial book at you. Instead, you can fight to prove that you aren’t guilty.

There are some instances in which you might be willing to take a plea agreement to resolve your case. This might be an option if you don’t want to have to endure a criminal trial. If you are open to a possible plea deal, we can work on your behalf to try to secure one for you that keeps the penalties you face to a minimum.

Even though you might not want to explore every option that is open to you, it is still a good idea to do just that when you are facing violent crime charges. We can help you look into the options that you have and determine how they will affect you.
